Jan 02,  · From Plastics' album Welcome Plastics, a cover of a song by The Monkees! It's pretty interesting. IGNORE (Welcome Back ver.) - Duration: PLASTICS - Topic views.

The vinyl recording is better and restores some please back to the production, though still a bit too compressed. The vinyl pressing is otherwise very good and the cover nice. The booklet is a bit of a joke with just variations of the cover art rather than anything more interesting/5().

Plastics, or The Plastics, were a short-lived Japanese new wave band who rose to prominence in the late s and early s. Their music was a major influence on Japanese pop music and their songs have been covered by many bands, most notably Polysics, Pizzicato Five, and Stereo Total.. In September , Rolling Stone Japan ranked their debut album Welcome Plastics at No. 19 on their Missing: Ignore.

For my money, this is the best (it was the first full length) recording released by The Plastics. Includes "Last Train to Clarksville", the Monkees cover. Too bad it's not available to the middle class. Still have this on vinyl/5(9).
